RuralStay was born on a slow drive through coastal Andhra. We stopped at a stranger's farmhouse for chai and didn't leave for three days. That feeling — of being welcomed into a place that wasn't built for tourists — is what we're trying to share.
Every home on RuralStay is hosted by someone who lives nearby. We visit each property in person, we verify the hosts, and we curate ruthlessly. If we wouldn't send our own parents there, it doesn't make the list.
Our hope is simple: that more travelers choose the village over the resort, the farmhouse over the hotel, and the highway café over the food court. And that the income flows back to the families who make these places magical.
